Today is Day Twenty of “The Respect Dare” and we are discussing loving sacrificially and creatively.
“Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.” ~ Philippians 2:3-4 NASB
I loved the story in the book. What a fun and creative solution to something that could have been stressful. How about you? What are some creative and sacrificial ways you can love your husband? Make a list and set times for at least three things this week. And, remember that you cannot have expectations about his reaction.
Please forgive me for the shortness of this post. I have been dealing with a nasty headache since I woke up and need to shut this off so I have a chance of waking up without it. And, tomorrow is all about making birthday cake and having a fun day with our newest 7 year old little lady.
Heavenly Father, there is nothing that You cannot see. You know what every one of our tomorrows will bring. And you know of our desire to learn to respect our husbands. I pray that you would continue to guide each of our steps and encourage those who are struggling.
Thank you for sacrificially loving each and every one of us. Thank you for showing us what that kind of love looks like. Help each of us to love our husbands with that same kind of love.
In Jesus’ Name… Amen!
